As dietitians, we’re here to create your individualized roadmap to a new, nourishing relationship with food and your body. Our ultimate goal is to support your eating journey as you shift from stressed and overwhelmed, to intentional and sustainable.
In our work together, we’ll go beyond surface level fixes and get into the real, everyday details of your relationship with food and your body.
It may feel a little scary 😬 but I believe change happens in the small moments, so it’s important for us to pause, notice patterns, experiment with new ways of eating and coping, and build systems that actually work for your day-to-day life.
My ADHDers out there know, your desk has to have your favorite fidgets and your array of beverages! I have my water glass and pitcher (need those refills!) and most important, my Ahmad Earl Grey tea (yes, I am that particular!).
For much of my life, I assumed I was “high maintenance”. It took getting my late in life ADHD diagnosis (and a lot of therapy) to reject that title and stand strong in my interests and needs. I take up space: deal with it, world!
Dramatic ballads are always the first on the list. My top three include: Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now", Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life", and "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morisette.
I received my Masters in Nutrition Education from Columbia University Teacher's College and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Barnard College.

Isabelle Carren-Le Sauter, RD, CDN is the founder and registered dietitian of Nourished Roots Nutrition Counseling in New York. She sees clients in her Midtown Manhattan office and virtually across multiple states, depending on licensing. Isabelle specializes in supporting adults navigate eating disorders, disordered eating, and the intersections of food, body concerns, and neurodivergence, all through a trauma-informed, somatically oriented lens.
She earned her BA in Psychology from Barnard College and her MS in Nutrition Education from Columbia University. Isabelle has experience in PHP and IOP levels of eating disorder care and has worked in outpatient treatment for over seven years. In addition to her clinical practice, she co-created the webinar and subsequent course ADHD Affirming Approaches to Eating Disorder Care, and provides clinical dietetic supervision and speaking opportunities on this and many other topics including disordered eating, Health at Every Size® and weight stigma in nutrition counseling.
Our work together looks like gently untangling the rigid expectations and layers of shame around eating and body image to nurture more ease and neutrality in your relationship with food.
The hope is that you’ll discover new openings for brain space, with room for creativity, connection, and pursuits beyond the constant pull of food concerns. I collaborate with you to co-create strategies that are flexible, sustainable, and rooted in self-compassion.
Weekends are my favorite because I’m never in a rush to be anywhere. That means time to take my dog on long walks, making a big breakfast, and likely trying to sneak in a beach trip.
You’ll likely see me in the office (or virtually on Zoom) with a few fidget objects nearby, and you’re welcome to use them as well!! Keeping my hands busy helps me stay grounded and supports my executive functioning (a topic that comes up a lot in my work, too).
I’ve been involved in dog rescue for years and feel most like myself when I have an animal around! These days that just means my dog, but I’ve had a very diverse lineup of pets throughout the years. Animals have helped shape how I think about care and trust.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition Sciences from West Chester University.
