ADHD & Eating Disorder Dietitian Nutritionist in NYC
Individual Nutrition Counseling
In nutrition counseling, we help clients build a new relationship to food and their body by exploring habit change, challenging harmful thoughts, and helping them listen to their innate wisdom and values.
We strongly believe that when we embody our values, we can create our own definition of “health.” We offer a non-judgmental space and build trust with those we work with through shared decision making, curious and creative exploration, and our own authentic and vulnerable communication. We honor and learn from the wisdom and lived experience of each person we work with.
Nutrition Sessions with us focus on:
-
Structural Components
“I know this isn’t working for me, but what do I do now?”
If this question feels familiar, I can help! I will help you build a recovery ‘scaffold’ that will guide your decision making. This includes meal planning and scheduling, portioning, grocery lists, food challenges, skills to limit body checking, medical concerns, and more. -
Emotional Experience
Providing a scaffold to this work is essential, but it’s not enough. Real, lasting progress requires us to address underlying concerns around food and body. We will dive deeper to understand, accept, and manage emotions that arise both in session and beyond by identifying skills, exploring nutrition science, and building motivation.

Mind-Body Connection
In working to control the body with the mind, the mind-body connection becomes distorted and can even feel non-existent. I can help you rebuild your ability to sense what’s happening in your body, like identifying hunger/fullness cues, to allow you to make behavioral decisions based on mind, body, and experience.
